The sportsbook announced the news on its website, stating: “With a two-point cushion in the bag, we’ve seen enough – Celtic are champions of Scotland for the 55th time.” The Flutter Entertainment-owned firm shared the news to X too with a video of Celtic boss Brendan Rogers laughing:

Celtic won the 2023/24 season relatively comfortably, beating second place Rangers by eight points. Hearts finished third with 27 points less than Rangers, demonstrating the two teams’ domination of the league.

This isn’t the first time Paddy Power has paid out early on bets. Notably, City ultimately won the league and Liverpool finished fifth.
